The Fordham swimming & diving team wrapped up its stay at the Princeton Invitational with the Rams capturing wins in three events on Saturday, two of which came from freshman Megan Polaha.

Day two of the non-scoring invitational began with the 200 medley relay, where Fordham placed fourth in the women's event in 1:51.29, while the men were sixth in 1:39.97.

Next came the first of three event wins by a Fordham swimmer. Megan Polaha finished first in the 400 individual medley in a time of 4:28.45. She was one of four Rams in the top ten, followed by Megan Gehrich in fifth (4:36.54), Anna Marshall in eighth (4:43.73), and Savannah Coe in tenth (4:46.08). In the men's event,
Steve Sholdra was the lone top ten finish in sixth place overall (4:07.37).

Polaha was right back in the pool for the next event, as she finished third in the 100 butterfly in a season-best time of 56.40 seconds. She was joined by Shannon Jones in the top ten, taking eighth in 58.22 seconds. On the men's side,
Shintaro Noguchi had his best finish of the weekend, taking second in 50.31 seconds, while Pat Militti was seventh in 51.81 seconds.

Another of the Rams' freshmen took center stage in the 200 freestyle, as Kalena Laurent earned a second place finish in 1:54.29, followed by Megan Zarriello in sixth (1:56.45) and Megan Gray in ninth (1:57.14). Fordham's top swimmer on the men's side in the 200 freestyle was
Miguel Mattox in 13
th place (1:49.68).

In the 100 breaststroke, a total of five Rams were in the top ten with three women and two men. Kelly Carroll took second In a season-best time of 1:05. 64, and was joined by Marshall in sixth (1:08.53) and Victoria McGovern in ninth (1:09.33).Â
Ben Dwyer earned ninth place in the men's event in a season-best time of 1:02.34, while Zach Jacobsen took tenth in 1:02.56.

In the women's 100 backstroke, the Rams finished seventh through tenth overall, beginning with Theresa Goehring in a season-best time of 59.56 seconds, and followed by Spencer Chappell (59.76), Jordan Tomimatsu (59.77) and Morgan Fairclough (59.85). On the men's side,
Michael Grimmett-Norris led the way in ninth place in 55.26 seconds.

The morning session ended with the 800 freestyle relay, where the women were second in 7:43.35, while the men were fifth in 7:06.04.

The afternoon session began with diving, where Claire Parker had her best score of the season on the one-meter board, taking eighth with 191.40 points, while
Hanul Moon placed fourth on the men's three-meter board with a score of 211.20.

Then, back in the swimming end, the 1650 freestyle got center stage, where Sholdra won the men's event with a time of 15:42.58. In the women's event, Zarriello was the top finisher in fifth place (17:27.90) with Kara Field (8
th – 17:39.73) and Natalie Malicki (10
th – 17:59.97) also cracking the top ten.

In the 200 backstroke five Fordham women made the top ten, led by Chappell in fourth place in a season-best time of 2;06.77. Tomimatsu was right behind her in fifth place (2:07.76), followed by Goehring (7
th – 2:09.16), Fairclough (8
th – 2:10.13), and Maureen McKenna (9
th – 2:12.38). On the men's side, Grimmett-Norris and Jacobsen cracked the top ten in ninth (1:57.79) and tenth place (1:59.00), respectively.

The 100-yard freestyle event was the next event with two Fordham men in the top ten, as Noguchi grabbed fifth place in 47.12 seconds, while
Thomas Shetler was eighth in 48.03 seconds. The Rams top female swimmer was Chandler Lulley in 13
th place in 54.93 seconds.

Next was the 200-yard breaststroke, where Marshall was the Rams' top finisher in fourth place in 2:27.20, while McGovern (2:29.15) and Carroll (2:29.29) grabbed seventh and eighth place. Jacobsen and Dwyer also grabbed seventh and eighth, respectively in 2:15.41 and 2:15.74.

The final individual event was the 200-yard butterfly, where Fordham captured its third event win. Polaha won her second event of the day with a season-best mark of 2:03.28, while Laurent finished second in 2:05.24. Frances Warren also finished in the top five in fifth place (2:08.59). Noguchi capped his weekend with a fifth place finish in 1:55.87, while Sholdra was seventh in 1:57.11.

The last event of the Invitational was the 400 freestyle relay, where the women finished second in a season-best time of 3:34.80, while the men's team was fourth in 3:11.91.
