The Fordham cross country teams had their final tune-up prior to the Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday at the Princeton Invitational, held at West Windsor Fields. In the Championship races, the Fordham men were 14
th out 30 teams, while the women were 12
th out of 25 teams.
The day began with a pair of Open Races with the Fordham men taking fifth out of 12 teams, while the women were sixth out of 10 teams.
In the men's open race,
Joe Hartnett was the Rams' first finisher taking 11
th overall in 25:45 over the 8K course.
Ryan McGann was the next runner across in 40
th place in 26:32, followed by
Devin Rocks in 42
nd (26:34), Yehia Fahmy in 46
th (26:38),
Randall Turner in 53
rd (26:46),
Peter Strom in 60
th (26:54),
Jake Duckworth in 66

In the women's open race, Melanie Notarstefano was Fordham's top runner in 20
th place, finishing the 6K course in 24:14. Amanda Foggia and Shannon McKenna were the next two across the line in 35
th and 36
th place respectively in 24:59, followed by Danielle Rowe (39
th – 25:03), Claire McGonigle (58
th – 26:33), Anna Straughan (74
th – 27:53), and Christine Ulto (89
th - 33:08).
The Championship races were next with Villanova taking the men's title with 23 points in the 30-team field. Fordham took 14
th with 479 points.
Individually, Fordham's top performer for the second straight week was
Mike Turi, who placed 63
rd overall in a loaded field of runners at 25:00.
Brian Walter was the next Ram across the line in 75
th in 25:08, followed by Mike Belgiovine in 78
th at 25:09.
Kevin Harvey was up next in 138
th (25:37) with
Tim Kazanjian (140
th – 25:38),
Jonathan Annelli (159
th – 25:47),
Patrick Burke (167
th – 25:52), and
Adam Schwenzfeier (173
rd – 25:56) also competing for the Maroon and White.
In the women's championship, Duquesne took first place with 47 points, while Fordham was 12
th out of the 25 teams with 337.
Individually, Anisa Arsenault was once again the Rams' top runner in 28
th overall in 22:23 over the 6K course. Christina Vivinetto continued her strong push this season, placing 45
th in 22:41, followed by Sarah Glockenmeier in 81
st (23:13), Kerry Sorenson in 92
nd (23:20), Ariana Bottalico in 107
th (23:36), Brianne Roche in 120
th (23:45), Jillian Brooks in 138
th (23:56), and Melissa Higgins in 157
th (24:28).
The Rams will now head to the Atlantic 10 Championship on November 2
nd, held at Pole Green Park in Richmond, Virginia.
