Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham baseball head coach Kevin Leighton announced the team's 2014 schedule today.  It features 25 home games and road trips to Wofford, Delaware, Rutgers, George Mason, and Saint Louis.

Except for 1944, the Fordham baseball program has played every year since 1859 and stands as the winningest program in NCAA history.  The Rams will be competing for their sixth Atlantic 10 Championship tournament berth in the last 11 years, in hopes of being at the 2014 Atlantic 10 Championship, May 21-24, which will be hosted at Saint Louis' Billiken Sports Center.

The schedule features three NCAA teams from a year ago, which includes a home game with Army (Apr. 9), the annual doubleheader clash with Columbia (Apr. 23), and a three-game set at defending Atlantic 10 champion, Saint Louis (May 9-11).

The Rams open the schedule in South Carolina at Wofford from February 21-23.  Fordham begins the weekend with host Wofford, followed by games against Presbyterian (at USC Upstate) and Pittsburgh.  Fordham will have three other non-conference weekend series, playing at Delaware (February 28-March 2), while taking on Stony Brook (March 8-9) and Sacred Heart (March 15-16) in split home-and-home series.

Fordham will also have mid-week road games against Wagner, New York Tech, Iona, Hofstra, Albany, Manhattan, and Rutgers.

Fordham is scheduled to have 25 home games this season, which includes five Atlantic 10 weekend series at Houlihan Park.  Beside the home games with Stony Brook and Sacred Heart as a part of the split weekend series, the Rams will host Quinnipiac, Marist, Army, Iona, Siena, Fairfield, and Manhattan in non-conference play.

In conference play, Fordham's home series opponents will be Dayton (March 28-30), Saint Joseph's (April 11-13), Massachusetts (Apr. 25-27), La Salle (May 2-4), and VCU (May 15-17).  The Rams will make conference road trips to George Mason (March 21-23), Rhode Island (April 4-6), and St. Bonaventure (April 18-20), in addition to the Saint Louis trip.
