Bronx, N.Y. (October 11, 2013) - The Fordham University football Rams, ranked ninth in the latest NCAA FCS Coaches Poll and tenth in the most recent Sports Network NCAA FCS poll, continue their 2013 season as they travel to the nation's capital to face the Georgetown University Hoyas in a battle of Jesuit Patriot League schools on Multi-Sport Field on Saturday, October 12, at 12:00 p.m.

The Rams (6-0) enter the game after a 52-34 win over #10/13 Lehigh University on Jack Coffey Field last Saturday, while Georgetown (1-4) enters the contest after falling to Princeton, 50-22, at home on September 28. With a win, Fordham will advance to 7-0 for the first time since 1930.

This will be the 55
th meeting between Fordham and Georgetown on the gridiron with the Rams leading the all-time series, which started in 1889, 31-20-3 (the two teams also met five times on the club level with Fordham winning here of the five contests). Fordham won last year's matchup, 38-31, on October 6 on Jack Coffey Field as
Ryan Higgins completed 29 of 38 passes for 305 yards and two touchdowns and
Carlton Koonce gained 99 yards on 27 carries with two scores. The 55 varsity meetings with the Hoyas are the most against any opponent for the Rams.

Fordham is 88- 67- 5 all-time against fellow Jesuit schools on the gridiron (31-20-3 against Georgetown, 21-27-2 versus Holy Cross, 15-0 in games with Saint Peter's, 12-14-2 vs. Boston College, 3-0 against Fairfield, 3-3 versus Detroit-Mercy, 2-2 against Canisius, 1-1 against San Francisco and 0-0-1 versus Marquette).
