Bronx, N.Y. - (Feb. 3, 2010) - It was Senior Night for 14 members of Fordham men's and women's swimming & diving teams on Wednesday, wrapping up the careers of one of the most highly decorated senior classes in school history. The Rams didn't disappoint sweeping their meet with St. Francis (NY) College at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center.
In doing so, the Fordham women's team completed their first ever undefeated season at 12-0, topping the Terriers 130-65, while the men's team wrapped up their regular season at 7-4 with a 128-62 win.
In addition to the wins, Fordham also had a school record fall, as
Andrea Krok broke the one-meter diving record with a score of 276.30, topping the old mark of 270.68 set by Marisa Colangelo in 2007.
Fordham posted wins in every event on the evening, which started in the 200 medley relay. The women's team of
Alexandra Alessi,
Marina Montoya,
Caitlin Napoli, and
Lara Moseley took home first in 1:54.26, while the men's team of Devon Morris, Mike Collison, Sean McManus, and Justin Coombs won in 1:39.29.
In the individual events, seniors
Tressa Dunn and Benjamin Otto were the lone dual winners. Dunn took the 50 freestyle in 24.55 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 1:00.75, while Otto won both men's diving competitions with scores of 270.15 (1M) and 269.10 (3M).

Samantha Heyman (100 Breast - 1:09.18), and Billy Colton (100 Breast - 1:00.28).
The night ended with a pair of wins in the 200 freestyle relay. The group of Alessi, Forrest,
Giulia Kaftan, and Ryan won in 1:40.35, while the men's team of Michael DiDonato, Lucien Monson, Eric Prendergast, and Ryan Coombs won in 1:29.60.
The Fordham swimming & diving teams will now shuffle off to Buffalo, New York, for the 2010 Atlantic 10 Championships at the Flickinger Center from February 17th through the 20th.
