Orchard Beach, N.Y. – The Fordham rowing squad competed at the Novak Memorial Metropolitan Championship, hosted by Iona University, today
 
Conditions were sunny and mild, with a slight breeze as the tide went out. 
 
The team had a successful day of racing, sweeping the competition in both heats and finals. The Varsity 8, 2nd Varsity 8, and Varsity 4 all finished first, ahead of fellow A10 team, George Mason. 
 
The 3rd Varsity 8 came in a strong third, falling just behind the Fordham 2V and George Mason. 
 
Next week, the Rams travel south to the Cooper River in Pennsauken, NJ for the Dad Vail Regatta.
