Bronx, N.Y. - (April 17, 2026) - The College Squash Association (CSA) announced the recipients of the 2025–26 CSA Scholar Athlete Awards, recognizing a distinguished group of juniors and seniors who have demonstrated excellence both on and off the court. Among the honored were Fordham's
Joe Walsh and
Crispin McCarthy.
The Scholar Athlete Award is granted to student-athletes who have earned a varsity letter and competed in CSA-sanctioned matches during the 2025-26 season while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better.
This recognition reflects the CSA's deep commitment to the core values of college squash: competitive excellence, academic integrity, and personal growth. Scholar Athletes represent what is possible when passion for sport is matched by dedication in the classroom. These student-athletes model the discipline, focus, and determination that define the best of college athletics. The CSA places a high value on the Scholar Athlete Award as it embodies the dual commitment that makes college squash so special. Balancing intense training, team travel, and match play with the demands of rigorous coursework is no small task. Honoring those who manage both with distinction is one of the most meaningful moments of our season.
Walsh, a Business Administration major, received his award after playing in a career-high 20 matches this past season, posting a 10-10 record. Over two seasons with the Rams, he amassed a 23-10 overall record.
McCarthy, a Public Accounting major, earns his third CSA Scholar Athlete Award as a member of the Fordham squash team. He finished his career with a 22-13 record, posting a career-high 13 wins during the 2023-24 season.
