Philadelphia, Pa. – (March 1, 2026) – The Fordham squash team wrapped up play at the CSA Divisional Team Championship on Sunday at the Arlen Specter U.S. Squash Center, defeating Vassar, 5-4.
With the win, Fordham finishes the year with a 16-9 record.
THE MATCH
- Fordham opened with a 1-0 lead courtesy of a default win at ninth position.
- The Rams built up a 4-3 lead with wins at the fourth, sixth, and seventh positions.
- Tyler Christensen defeated Gabriel Lugo at fourth position in five games, 11-8, 7-11, 11-5, 5-11, and 12-10, while Fredrik Schrieber-Wacnik topped Julian Cardenas at sixth position, 11-9, 12-10, and 11-9.
- Nathan Martinez then won at the seventh slot over Alexander Thorn in three games, 11-4, 11-7, and 11-5.
- The match was then all square at four, coming down to the final match between Drew Fones and Razaan Lalji.Fones was able to come away with a four-game win by scores of 11-6, 11-8, 10-12, and 11-1.
