Bronx, N.Y. – (February 7, 2026) – The Fordham squash team hosted their final home matches of the season on Saturday at the Lombardi Center Squash Courts, defeating Clark University, 9-0, while flling to the University of Chicago, 8-1.
The split of matches moves Fordham to 15-5 on the season.
MATCH 1 – Fordham 9, Clark 0
- The Rams received a 1-0 edge at the start of the match, as Clark University carried only eight players.
- The remaining eight matches were all won by Fordham in three-game sweeps.
- Jack Stanley posted the top win at first position over Ethan Montane, 11-3, 11-2, and 11-2.
- Drew Fones defeated Paul O'Connell-Bach at the fourth slot, 11-2, 11-1, and 11-6, while Tyler Christensen topped Theo Lyle at third position, 11-1, 11-3, and 11-0.
- Adam Sakr (2nd), Fredrik Schreiber-Wacnik (5th), Nathan Martinez (6th), Charlie Friedman (7th), and Anthony Mamdouh Zareh (8th) also posted victories for the Rams.
MATCH 2 – Chicago 8, Fordham 1
- The Rams had a tough go against the University of Chicago, as Christensen recorded the lone team point for Fordham.
- Christensen defeated Griffin Johnson at fourth position in five games, 12-10, 7-11, 15-13, 9-11, and 11-8.
- Fordham almost got a second point from Martinez, as he rallied back from two games down.However Richard Lau came away with the five-game win, 13-11, 11-3, 9-11, 5-11, and 11-6.
- Joe Walsh also missed a chance at a team point, taking the first game of his ninth slot match, 11-9, but Advit Dube rallied for the four-game win, taking the final three games, 11-3, 11-5, and 11-6.
