Bronx, N.Y. – (February 1, 2026) – The Fordham squash team extended its win streak to five matches on Sunday at the Lombardi Squash Courts, defeating Cal, 7-2, and Princeton Club, 8-1.
With the two wins, Fordham improved to 14-4 on the season.
MATCH 1 – Fordham 7, Cal 2
- The Rams earned wins at the third through ninth positions against Cal.
- Adam Sakr led the way with a three-game win over Saad Asad at third position, 11-1, 11-8, and 11-5, followed by a fourth position win by Tyler Christensen over Joshua Martoma in five games, 11-9, 12-10, 7-11, 9-11, and 11-3.
- Drew Fones followed with a fifth slot victory over Aadi Chandra in three games, 11-9, 11-6, and 11-6, with Fredrik Schreiber-Wacnik getting the win at sixth position over Rich Labourene, 11-5, 11-3, and 12-10.
- Nathan Martinez defeated Kevin Li at the seventh slot in three games (11-1, 11-7, and 11-5), while Charlie Friedman (8th) and Joe Walsh (9th) also earned three game wins.
MATCH 2 – Fordham 8, Princeton Club 1
- Leading 2-0 courtesy of two defaulted matches, Christensen had the best win, topping Jiayang Sun at second position, 11-7, 11-4, and 11-7, while Fones downed Andrew Dupree at third position, 11-3, 11-5, and 11-3.
- Schreiber-Wacnik upended Penny Cohen at the fourth slot, 11-1, 11-3, and 11-6, with Martinez earning a three-game win over Jaymin Ding, 11-0, 11-0, and 11-0, at fifth position.
- Friedman (6th) and Anthony Mamdouh Zareh (7th) also picked up three-game wins for Fordham over Ella Kowal and John Geiss, respectively.

- The Rams finish out their home schedule on Saturday, February 7th with matches against Clark University at noon and the University of Chicago at 1:30 PM.
