Bronx, N.Y. – (January 24, 2026) – With multiple changes to the weekend schedule due to the winter storm thi weekend, the Fordham squash team still managed to get in their match against North Carolina on Saturday, posting an 8-1 win at the Lombardi Squash Courts.
The win improved Fordham to 10-4 on the season.
THE MATCH
- The Rams received a 2-0 edge at the start of the match, as North Carolina carried only seven players.
- Tyler Christensen had the top win of the morning, defeating Luke Helper at second position, 11-1, 11-6, and 11-3, while Drew Fones topped Kushal Garg at third position, 11-7, 11-7, and 11-6.
- Fredrik Schreiber-Wacnik earned a fourth slot win over Jordan Marshall, 11-1, 11-8, and 11-5, with Nathan Martinez overcoming Warren Wang at fifth position, 11-4, 11-8, and 11-1.
- Charlie Friedman then won his sixth position match in three games, 11-2, 11-7, 11-5, over Charlie Schoenecker, while the Rams' final team point came from Anthony Mamdouh Zareh at seventh position with a three-game win over Haris Mukhtar, 11-7, 14-12, and 11-8,
