Cross Country Hosts Fordham Fiasco

Bronx, N.Y. – (September 6, 2025) – Before the heavy weather rolled through the Bronx on Saturday, the Fordham cross country team was able to host the annual Fordham Fiasco race at Van Cortlandt Park.  The men's team placed first in the team standings, while the women were third.
 
MEN'S RACE

• James Stappenbeck won the individual men's race for Fordham, clocking in with a time of 28:15.1 over the 8K course.
• Jimmy Hernandez was right behind Stappenback for second place in 28:21.4, while Daniel DiTunno was third at 28:40.0.
• Eric Schleif (8^th – 29:40.2), Anan Bauman (9^th – 29:48.1), Tadael Mihret (10^th – 30:06.7), and Matthew McDevitt (11^th – 30:16.3) rounded out the Ram runners.

 
WOMEN'S RACE

• Sophia Katechis was the top Ram in the women's 5K race in fifth place at 20:23.2.
• Quincy Biddle came across the finish line next in 11^th at 21:00.0.
• Ciara McGroary (14^th – 22:34.4), Marisa House (15^th – 23:22.2), and Madison Collins (16^th – 23:52.0) finished out the Ram runners.
