WASHINGTON – Fordham University Volleyball has sat as one of the top blocking teams in the nation since the start of the 2025 campaign, and much of that is due in part to Tatum Holderied, who claimed her second Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week award from the league office this week.
Holderied's award comes following the Rams' home debut last weekend with three games as part of the Rose Hill Classic, where she posted 28.0 total blocks for a 2.55/set average over the week. That tally sees her lead the nation in both blocks per set and total blocks for the second week in a row, as the Fordham junior now has 76.0 total blocks for the season.
The Rams as a team have tallied 10.0 or more blocks in each of the last six games, and seven times in the first nine matches of 2025, the best such start in program history, and places the Rams as the top team in the nation in total blocks with 108 and third in the nation as a team with 3.08/set.
Holderied and the Rams host Central Connecticut State Saturday afternoon at the Rose Hill Gym at 3:00 p.m. on ESPN+.
