Bronx, N.Y. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its final 2025 Northeast regional rankings and the Fordham women's tennis program was well represented. The doubles team of junior
Nevena Kolarevic and sophomore
Julianne Nguyen was ranked sixth while Kolarevic was ranked seventh among all Division I singles players in the region, the highest ever ranking for a Ram. As a team, Fordham was sixth in the region, their highest ever postseason ranking.

Kolarevic, who was named the 2024-2025 Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Most Outstanding Performer and First Team All-Atlantic 10, had a historic first season at Fordham. She compiled a 25-3 record on the year in singles, winning 13 straight matches to finish undefeated in spring competition. A two-time A-10 Player of the Week, Kolarevic also won 22 doubles matches and added an A-10 Doubles Championship with Nguyen in the fall. Her dominance was evident as she completed the year as the highest rated women's tennis player in the A-10 Conference.

Nguyen received the Fordham Most Improved Player Award this year. She made a dramatic jump to the #1 doubles position, which she held all year, and rotated between #1 and #2 in the singles lineup. She won the A-10 Doubles Championships with Kolarevic, earning an ITA National Doubles Ranking of #109 and was named A10 Player of the Week on February 11th.

Kolarevic and Nguyen join a list of former Rams who finished the season ranked in the region most recently
Raffaela Alhach, who was 20
th last season. Other recent members of the Fordham tennis program to be regionally ranked include Arina Taluyenko, who was 18
th in 2019 and 20
th in 2021, and the doubles team of Avery Aude and Valeria Deminova, who were ranked ninth in 2023.

The number six team ranking is the highest for Fordham, surpassing last year's ranking of eight.

The Fordham women's tennis team finished the season with a 16-5 record and earned the number one seed at the Atlantic 10 Championship for the first time.
