Bronx, N.Y. – (June 4, 2025) – Five Fordham baseball players were among those that received College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors this week.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. Student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher to qualify.

Tommy McAndrews were among those Fordham players honored for the second straight year, while sophomores
Matt Dieguez and
Koen Smith garnered the honor for the first time.
Here is a breakdown of each individual:
Gannon Brady – Sr. – Relief Pitcher
Major: Finance with a concentration in Alternative Investments
- Two-time CSC Academic All-District selection (2024 & 2025)
- Two-time Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference pick (2024 & 2025)
- Three-year member of the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll
- 2025 team captain
- Made 22 appearances, earning a win and a save in 24.1 innings of work
- 2025 Dean Harter Award winner at the Block F Awards for academic & athletic accomplishment

Daniel Bucciero – Jr. – Third Base
Major: Business Administration
- Two-time CSC Academic All-District selection (2024 & 2025)
- Two-year member of the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll
- 2025 team captain
- Started all 58 games for the Rams at third base in 2025
- Batted a career-best .320 and posted career-highs in runs scored (54), hits (72), doubles (16), RBI (37), total bases (116), walks (34), and stolen bases (35)
- Tied for the team-lead in home runs (8), while having 20 multi-hit games
- Joined Bobby Kingsbury as the only Rams to reach 125 runs, 40 doubles, 20 home runs, 100 RBI, and 60 stolen bases in their careers

Tommy McAndrews – Jr. – Catcher
Major: Finance
- Two-time CSC Academic All-District selection (2024 & 2025)
- Two-year member of the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll
- Two-year team captain (2024 & 2025)
- Started 41 of 42 games he appeared in
- Hit a career-best .282 with 23 runs scored, seven doubles, five home runs, and 20 RBI
- Recorded 10 multi-hit games

Matt Dieguez – Soph. – Infielder
Major: Finance
- CSC Academic All-District selection (2025)
- Member of the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll
- Had a breakout season, appearing in all 58 games, making 56 starts
- Batted .302 with 33 runs scored, 13 doubles, three home runs, 46 RBI, and 14 stolen bases
- Ranked second on the Rams in RBI

Koen Smith – Soph. – Relief Pitcher
Major: Finance
- CSC Academic All-District selection (2025)
- Member of the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll
- Made a team-high 22 appearances, all in relief
- Went 2-3 with a team-best four saves to go with 31 strikeouts in 25.1 innings
