Baseball Travels to Dayton for Adjusted A-10 Series

Friday’s Game Moved to 11:00 AM; More Changes Expected to Due Weather

Bronx, N.Y. – (April 2, 2026) – After a long homestand, the Fordham baseball team is back on the road for Atlantic 10 play this weekend, as the Rams take on the Dayton Flyers at Woerner Field in Ohio.  The series has already had its first adjustment due to potential weather, as Friday's game will now start at 11:00 AM.

  • Fordham and Dayton have been regular conference opponents since their first meeting in 2001.The Rams hold a 27-25 series lead, as each team won twice last season.Fordham took two of three games in the regular season series at Houlihan Park with the Flyers winning a 9-2 contest at the Atlantic 10 Championship.

  • The Rams have won back-to-back games after droppings three straight contests via shutout.
  • Fordham won on Tuesday by a 9-8 score over Columbia, the Rams' firt win over the Lions since 2019.
  • Joey Donnelly has been the Rams' best hitter through nine Atlantic 10 games, batting .391 with 10 runs scored, a home run and five RBI, while Tommy McAndrews is batting .308 with three home runs and nine RBI.
  • Chase Hanawalt is 1-1 in three league starts with 24 strikeouts and a 2.66 ERA in 20.1 innings pitched.

  • Sawyer Jensen has been their most consistent starting pitcher with a 3-2 record in seven starts with 28 strikeouts, while Michael Fortes has been their best reliever with a 2-0 record and two saves in nine appearances.
