Greensboro, N.C. – (June 9, 2026) – The 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-Region Teams have been announced across all eight regions. The teams are selected by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association, with the process overseen by the ABCA NCAA Division I All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.
 
For the Northeast, Fordham catcher Tommy McAndrews (Haverhill, Mass.) earned First Team All-Northeast Region honors.He is the first Ram to earn the honor since Matt Mikulski in 2021.
 
First Team All-Region selections are eligible for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors. The 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-America teams will be announced on Friday, June 12, prior to the start of the NCAA Division I College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
 
A Second Team All-Atlantic 10 and Academic All-Conference selection, McAndrews had a career year for the Rams, setting personal bests with a .332 batting average, 44 runs scored, 67 hits, 15 doubles, 15 home runs, and 53 RBI.  He finished as the team leader in average, home runs, and RBI, and became only the second player in Rams' history to have at least 15 doubles and 15 home runs in the same season (Mike Marchiano – 1997).  In conference play, McAndrews was even better with a .396 batting average, 11 home runs, and 29 RBI.For his career, he finished second all-time at Fordham in career home runs (31), tied for fifth in doubles (45) and RBI (132), and seventh in total bases (330).  In the classroom, McAndrews graduated with a degree in Finance, earned CSC Academic All-District honors three times, and was a three-year member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
 
The ABCA All-America Team was first recognized in 1949 and now spans nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II, and III, the Pacific Association Division, and high school. ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were first recognized in 2007.
