BRONX, N.Y. – Following a pair of stellar 2025 campaigns for a pair of Fordham University Softball players, both Sydney Wells and Neleh Nogay were named to the NFCA All-Northeast Region Second Team Thursday afternoon.

Both Wells and Nogay combined to sit amongst the conference and national numbers in a plethora of statistical categories, and each set new program single season records with their performances this season.

Sitting 15th amongst all players in the nation with 77 hits this season Neleh Nogay locked down the leadoff spot for the Rams, and was a threat for an extra-base whenever she got on. Nogay set both a new Fordham and Atlantic 10 single season record with 46 stolen bases this season on 50 attempts, 10 more than the previous mark by a Rams and eight more than any player in conference history.

That effort placed Nogay sixth best of any player in the nation, and now sits just three shy of tying the all-time Fordham career mark entering her senior campaign in 2026. Hitting .367 on the year, Nogay 77 hits were the second most of any Ram in a single season, and her 52 runs scored her eighth most in a season as well.

Through three seasons, Nogay currently holds the highest batting average of any player in program history, a career .367 hitter.

Wells finished her senior season with record setting numbers, recording the highest on-base percentage of any Fordham player in a single season at .533, and posted the third highest slugging percentage of any Rams at .783 on the season. Those marks placed her 29th and 53rd amongst all Division I players following the A-10 tournament, while also sitting eighth in walks per game, 41st in home runs, 83rd in RBIs.

Drawing 51 walks in 56 games played in 2025, Wells took the second-most free bases of any player in a season at Fordham, while tallying the fourth most home runs in a season with 17 on the year. Her 52 RBIs are tied for ninth most in a season, in addition to numerous overall career marks to end her tenure in The Bronx.

Etching her name in a number of spots on the all-time Fordham ranks, Wells finishes her career fifth all-time with 149 RBIs, sixth with 38 home runs, and seventh with 90 walks.Wells also became just the six player in program history to claim Player of the Year in the A-10 last week, to lead a group of seven Fordham players on All-Conference lineups who brought home 10 total awards from the conference, including Nogay who was also an All-Conference First Team selection with Wells.

Nogay and Wells helped lead the Rams to their most wins since the 2022 campaign, reaching the Atlantic 10 Championship game for the first time since 2022 as well.
