The Rams bookend the weekend following a 5-4 loss in the middle game earlier Sunday

Bronx, N.Y. - A standout day in the circle for Elizabeth Gaisior in game three of the weekend saw her strikeout nine batters as Fordham University Softball took its second straight A-10 series win, with a 9-4 victory over George Washington in the rubber game, bouncing back from a 5-4 loss in the first game Sunday afternoon.

Sophomore Victoria Klimaszewski came out of the bullpen for Fordham in game one and took the loss. Senior Holly Beeman started the ballgame, throwing four innings, giving up two runs on six hits, with no walks and five strikeouts.

The Revs took an early 1-0 lead in their first turn at the dish, before Fordham got an RBI single from freshman Sadira Forcucci in the bottom of the frame, scoring junior Mikayla Swan from second base.

The score stayed at 1-1 until the very next inning, when the Rams picked up a run on sophomore Sophie Nesturrick's one-out solo home run, which gave the Rams the lead 2-1.

George Washington fired back to even the ballgame at two in the third, before Fordham reclaimed a 4-2 advantage in the fourth inning. The Rams added two to their tally on sophomore Morgan Volgraf's two-run homer to right. George Washington however scored three times over the final four innings to send it to extras, and eventually grabbed the 5-4 win as a run came in to score in the eighth.
