Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham men's tennis sophomore Dhananjay Athreya was named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Men's Tennis Academic All-District® team it was announced on Tuesday.
 
Athreya, a Finance major, compiled six wins in singles play, competing mostly at second singles. He was also 13-11 in doubles action, 9-7 in dual matches, tying for the team lead in doubles wins. Athreya helped Fordham to a four-seed at the Atlantic 10 Championships, Fordham's highest ever seed, and a 9-9 record, the most wins by Fordham men's tennis since 2019. 
 
The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's Tennis team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
 
In order for a Student-Athlete to be eligible, they must have:

• A minimum grade point average of 3.50 or better
• Eligible nominees need to be in the lineup for 70% of matches that include team scores.
