Raleigh, N.C./Lawrenceville, N.J. – (March 28-29, 2025) – Members of the Fordham track & field team were in action in two locations this weekend at the Raleigh Relays on Friday and the Rider 5-Way Invitational on Saturday.
On Friday night,
Katarina Birimac took part in the 10,000-meter run finishing eighth overall in 33:59.59. Her time ranked her 24
th among NCAA Division I runners.
Then on Saturday, the Rams took part in the Rider 5-Way Invitational, highlighted by three individual wins and one school record.
Zoe Arakelian won the women's high jump event, clearing 5' 5", while
James Alati took first in the men's javelin throw at 183' 1". Then,
Dillyn Green won the women's 400-meter dash with a time of 59.13 seconds, while Katheen Keefe was third in 1:01.20. Green was also third in the 200-meter dash at 25.76 seconds.
In the women's pole vault,
Michaela Gier cleared a school record height of 11' 5 ¾", good for fourth place. She bettered her own mark of 11' 3 ¾", set last year.
Fordham also had seven other runner-up or third place finishes on Saturday.
DaRon Elam took second in the men's high jump, clearing 6' 4 ¾" and then added a fifth place mark in the 110-meter hurdles at 15.47 seconds.
Lucas Rohde and
Anan Bauman grabbed second and third, respectively in the men's 1,500-meter run at 4:07.49 and 4:07.95.
The remaining bronze finishes all came on the women's side from
Sarah Cooley in the discus throw (117' 11"),
Kate Meeks in the 1,500 meters (4:53.28),
Cate Roche in the 800 meters (2:26.33), and
Nicole Lytle in the 400-meter hurdles (1:07.12).

Will Spierdowis in the men's 400 meters (11
th – 52.62),
George Pomer in the men's long jump (11
th - 19' 4 ¼"),
Tanicha Saintigene in the women's shot put (4
th – 39' 7 ¼"),
Ashley Holbrook in the women's triple jump (7
th – 33' 5 ¾"),
Ileana Chlorou in the women's 100-meter dash (18
th – 13.01),
Sophia Viscon in the women's 3,000-meter run (5
th – 10:53.18), and Cooley in the women's hammer throw (6
th – 126' 0").
The Rams are next in action on Friday, April 4
th, at the 2025 Metropolitan Outdoor Track & Field Championship, held at Icahn Stadium in New York.
