Bronx, N.Y. – (March 11, 2025) – The Fordham baseball team wraps up a string of games against the military academies on Wednesday afternoon, as the Navy Midshipmen come to Houlihan Park for a 3:00 PM contest. Previously, the Rams played Army West Point over the weekend, taking two of three contests.
SCOUTING REPORT: Navy is 5-9 on the season, batting .226 as a team with a 4.70 team ERA. Tyler Green is at the top of the rotation with a team-best 2.22 ERA in four starts, recording 15 strikeouts in 24.1 innings, while Spencer Stephens has been a go-to pitch in the bullpen with six appearances, one save and a 4.15 ERA in 13.0 innings. At the plate, none of the Midshipmen regulars are over a .300 batting average. The closest is Noah Ditas at .290 with six runs scored and five stolen bases. Brock Murtha and Ty DePerno are tied for the team lead in RBI at eight with Murtha also having nine runs scored and nine stolen bases.

SERIES HISTORY: Wednesday will be the first meeting between Fordham and Navy in baseball since 1995, when both teams were a part of the Patriot League. Overall, games between the school dates back to 1912 with Fordham having a slight edge with a 16-14 record. In the Patriot League from 1993 to 1995, the Rams were 7-4 against the Midshipmen.
WEEKEND RECAP (3/7-9): Fordham took two of three games from the Army Black Knights, posting a 9-2 win on Friday, a 12-2 win on Saturday, and an 8-2 loss on Sunday.

Aidan Dowd was superb for the Rams, pitching a career-long six shutout innings, giving up just four hits to go with six strikeouts.
Ameer Hasan earned his first save as a Ram, pitching the final three innings, allowing one earned run with two strikeouts. At the plate,
Tommy McAndrews was 2-for-4 with three RBI, while Kanellis was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.
Saturday saw the return of
Cian Sahler to the Rams' lineup after missing the last eight games. He responded with a career day, going 4-for-6 with two doubles and a career-high seven RBI, while
Taylor Kirk went 4-for-6 with three doubles, four runs scored, and an RBI. Kanellis finished 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI with
Jack Brennan having a home run and scoring three runs.

Sahler, who missed eight games, returned to the lineup on Saturday with a career-best performance at Army, going 4-for-6 with two doubles and a career-high seven RBI.
