Bronx, N.Y. – (February 8, 2025) – The Fordham squash team completed the home portion of their 2024-25 season on Saturday, posting a 7-2 win over Princeton Club at the Lombardi Squash Courts.
Fordham is now 16-5 on the season.
Leading the match 1-0 after a default at the ninth slot, Fordham went 3-1 in the first wave of matches to go up by a 4-1 team score.
Sofia Arseniev got the ball rolling with a three-game win over Will Drapkin at the sixth slot, 11-0, 11-3, and 11-5, followed by
Crispin McCarthy defeating Ryan Salik in three games at eighth position, 11-6, 11-4, and 11-9.
Charlie Friedman then wrapped up the first wave with a four-game win over Jiayang Sun, 9-11, 11-7, 11-3, and 11-6.
In the second wave, the Rams picked up three more victories for the 7-2 final.
Nathan Martinez swept his fifth position match from Andrew Dupree, 11-2, 11-3, and 11-4, while
Robert Cruikshank cruised by Dylan Rodilosso at third position, 11-0, 11-3, and 11-2.
Joe Walsh then closed out the win with a seventh slot victory over Saranya Singh, 11-3, 11-3, 9-11, and 11-6.
Fordham now prepares for the 2025 CSA Team Championship, which will be held February 28 through March 2
nd at the Arlen Specter U.S. Squash Center in Philadelphia, Pa.
