Washington, D.C. – (November 4, 2025) – The Atlantic 10 Conference released its women's soccer all-conference teams and major award winners on Tuesday afternoon, prior to the semifinals of the Atlantic 10 Championship.
Four Rams received accolades, highlighted by freshman
Renata Mercedes (Santo Domingo, D.R.) being named Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Year, while also earning a spot on the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team. Mercedes shared the Rookie of the Year honor with Saint Louis' Caroline Chier.
Additionally, sophomore
Liina Tervo (Tuusula, Finland) and
Lena Johnsen (Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.) were selected to the All-Atlantic 10 First Team with senior
Ella Guth (Clinton, Conn.) receiving Second Team honors. Tervo was also named to the Academic All-Conference team.
Mercedes is the second Ram to earn Rookie of the Year honors, joining Tervo, who received the honor last season. She appeared in all 19 games on the year, making 18 starts, and is one of six Rams to reach double figure scoring with ten points. She notched three goals and four assists on the season and is third on the team in shots (53).
Tervo garnered First Team honors for the second consecutive season, after leading the Rams in scoring with 10 goals and seven assists for 27 points. She is tied for first in the Atlantic 10 in assists, while being second in goals, game-winning goals (4) and points. Tervo also became the third Ram to record consecutive 10-goal seasons and the seventh to reach both 20 goals and 50 points in her career.
Johnsen, a Preseason All-Conference selection, was one of three Rams to start all 19 games in 2025, putting together her best campaign to date. She was second on the team in scoring with a personal-best 12 points on four goals and four assists. She also added two game-winning goals against FDU and George Mason.
Like Johnsen, Guth also garnered her first selection to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Team. The two-year captain started all 18 games she appeared in, anchoring the Rams' defender group. She helped Fordham record four shutouts on the year, and has played a career-high 1,614 minutes to date.
The quartet of Rams will lead Fordham into the Atlantic 10 Championship semifinal on Wednesday, November 5
th at top-seeded Dayton with game time at 7:00 PM.
