Riley Carroll (Glastonbury, Conn. / Glastonbury) was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week it was announced by the conference today. It is the first weekly honor for the senior.
In a 5-0 Atlantic 10 win at St. Bonaventure on Sunday, Carroll scored three of the five Fordham goals for her first career hat trick, and the first for a Ram since
Liina Tervo scored three times against UAlbany on August 25, 2024.
The Rams led 2-0 at the half before increasing the lead to 3-0 in the 63
rd minute when Carroll scored her first of the game, sprinting down the right sideline before cutting to the middle and getting off a shot from 15 yards that curved into the top left corner of the net.
Eleven minutes later, Carroll picked up her second tally when a
Salma Simonin pass sent her in on goal alone and she beat the Bonnies keeper on the ground from 12 yards.
Riley completed the natural hat trick in the 87
th minute as
Liv Johnsen took a long feed on the right and crossed the ball into the box to Riley who one-timed it from eight yards.
The Rams return to action on Thursday, October 8, as they host the VCU Rams at Moglia Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
