Lewisburg, Pa. – (November 22, 2025) – Competition on day two of the annual Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania has concluded at the Kinney Natatorium.
Through the second day of events, the Fordham women are in fourth place out of seven teams with 626.5 points, trailing Brown (1,340), Delaware (991), and host Bucknell (640), while being ahead of Davidson (483), UMBC (395), and Seton Hall (280.5).
On the men's side, the Rams are in sixth place out of seven teams with 420 points, behind Brown (1,138.5), Delaware (743), Seton Hall (630.5), UMBC (629), Davidson (485), and ahead of host Bucknell (347).
WOMEN'S INVITATIONAL
- Eight events were held on Saturday, which began with the finals of the 400 individual medley, where Fordham had three finalists.Karina Kanary placed eighth in the "A" final in a season-best time of 4:24.00, while Miranda Bonitatebus (4:35.03) and Tera Brilmyer (4:35.63) were 22nd and 23rd respectively as a part of the "C" final.
- In the next individual final, Ella Montgomery finished third overall in the 100 butterfly in 54.93 seconds.
- Four Rams scored in the finals of the 200 freestyle event with Hayley Clark winning the "B" final for ninth place in 1:49.98, while Daisy Mitchell took the "C" final for 17th in 1:51.95.Maxine Camillone (1:53.71) and Hope Nolan (1:54.70) were then 21st and 24th overall respectively.
- The 100 breaststroke final saw Lexi Lundell grab second place in 1:02.37 with Magdalena Wlodarkiewicz in fourth (1:03.51) and Bonitatebus in 23rd (1:06.44).
- Montgomery then scored again in the 100 backstroke, taking 11th in 56.22 seconds with Saskia Aikman in tenth at 55.98 seconds.
- In the one-meter dive, Katie Laverty won the event with a score of 282.65 with Dani O'Kelly in eighth at 248.60.Ella Esposito (13th – 214.00), Maia Cacchione (14th - 208.05), and Mya Bokerman (20th – 194.45) also scored for Fordham.
- There were also two relays on Saturday with the 200 medley relay of Aikman, Wlodarkiewicz, Montgomery and Lundell taking third in 1:41.70, while the 800 freestyle relay of Mitchell, Clark, Camillone, and Kanary scoring fifth in 7:31.03.
MEN'S INVITATIONAL
- The Fordham men competed in five individual swimming events on Saturday to go with two relays.
- Quinn MacPhail kicked off the individual finals, taking eighth overall in 3:56.53.
- In the 100 butterfly, Daniel Ribeiro scored sixth in 48.06 seconds, while Misha Semenov was 14th in 49.59.
- Kevin Yum was the lone finalist in the 200 freestyle, placing 23rd overall in 1:40.59.
- Four Rams made the finals of the 100 breaststroke event.Max Maycher was the top finisher in fifth place at 54.55 seconds with David Topi in eighth at 55.25 seconds.Radek Cohen was then 16th as a part of the "B" final in 56.37 seconds, while Nick Lungaretti was 24th in 57.33 seconds.
- Another four Fordham swimmers were in the finals of the 100 backstroke, led by Frankie Sanger in 13th place at 50.14 seconds.Jesse Abramson (20th – 51.10), Ben Ohrr (22nd – 51.22), and Bryce Wilkens (23rd – 51.49) then all scored in the "C" final.
- Finally in the relays, the 200 medley relay of Ribeiro, Topi, Maycher, and Semenov were fourth in 1:27.94, while Sanger, Yum, Abramson, and MacPhail were 11th as a part of the 800 freestyle relay in 6:45.93.
