Bridgeport, Pa. – (November 17, 2025) – The MAWPC released its final set of regular season weekly awards on Monday with Fordham's
Luca Provenziani (Rome, Italy) being named the league's Player of the Week with
Balazs Berenyi (Budapest, Hungary) taking Defensive Player of the Week honors, while
Alessandro Salipante (Brindisi, Italy) was Rookie of the Week
For this season, this is Provenziani's third Player of the Week award, second Defensive Player of the Week honor for Berenyi, and the third Rookie accolade for Salipante.
In the Rams' lone game of the week, Provenziani netted a career-high seven goals to go with five assists and three steals in a 23-13 win over #19/20 Brown. Berenyi was a defensive stalwart, holding Brown's Ilias Stothart to just one goal, while adding a field block and two goals of his own on the offensive end. Salipante continued his strong freshman campaign with three goals, two assists, and two steals against the Bears.
This trio and the rest of the Rams will next be in action this weekend at the 2025 MAWPC Championship, which is at Fordham's Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center. Fordham is the top seed and will play on Saturday, November 22
nd, at 2:30 PM against the winner of Friday's match between Bucknell and Wagner.
