Bronx, N.Y. – (November 15, 2025) – After being on the road last weekend, the Fordham squash team was back in the friendly confines of the Lombardi Center Squash Courts for a pair of matches on Saturday afternoon, topping George Washington, while falling to Connecticut College.
With the split, Fordham moved to 4-3 on the year.
MATCH 1 – vs. Connecticut College – L, 7-2
- The Rams opened the day with a 7-2 loss to Connecticut College.
- Fordham earned team points at the sixth and seventh positions.
- Fordham's Fredrik Schreiber-Wacnik put together a three-game win over Andrew Nemphos at sixth position, 11-6, 11-6, 11-6.
- Then, Nathan Martinez posted a four-game win at the seventh slot over Hayden Okurowski, 2-11, 13-11, 11-7, and 11-7.
- The Rams came close to flipping two other matches, but Nicholas Gilman and Tyler Christensen each fell in five sets at first and fourth position, respectively.
MATCH 2 – vs. George Washington – W, 9-0
- The Rams put together a 9-0 sweep of George Washington in their second match of the day.
- Fordham won all nine matches in three games.
- Christensen won at first position over Leo-Paul Leger, 11-6, 11-6, and 11-9, while Drew Fones had a second slot win over Aisha Tarar, 11-2, 11-5, and 11-5.
- Schreiber-Wacnik and Martinez each earned their second win of the day at third and fourth position, respectively, while other winners included Charlie Friedman (5th), Joe Walsh (6th), Crispin McCarthy (7th), Anthony Mamdouh Zareh (8th), and Owen Cassidy (9th).
