Cambridge, Mass. – (September 8, 2024) – The nationally ranked Fordham water polo team continued their offensive assault at the Bruno Classic on Sunday, posting a 26-10 win over the MIT Engineers to improve to 3-0 on the season for the first time since 2001.
Fordham did have a final exhibition contest to cap the weekend at the Bruno Classic, defeating #15/16 Harvard, 18-11.
Against MIT, Fordham had a perfect start in the first quarter, scoring 11 times on 11 shots to take an 11-2 lead.
Andras Toth recorded a first quarter hat trick with
Marco Napolitano and
Luca Provenziani each having two goals.
The Rams' offensive attack continued its assault with eight more tallies in the second quarter with
Jacopo Parrella scoring twice to complete a hat trick.
Fordham never looked back, as Napolitano and
Csongor Bartuszek also finished the game with three-goal games.
The Rams will next be in action on Saturday, September 14
th, at the Princeton Invitational, as they take on #12 UC San Diego at 11:00 AM
