Montgomery, N.Y. – (September 14, 2024) – Running for the third consecutive weekend, the Fordham cross country teams continued to post solid times and finishes on Saturday morning at the Jasper Fall XC Invite, hosted by Manhattan at Twin Ponds on the Farm in Montgomery, N.Y.
The women's race was up first with Fordham placing sixth out of 11 teams with 164 points, behind Stony Brook (49), Quinnipiac (68), Rider (97), Siena (97), and Marist (122).
The individual crown came down to just the final few yards, as Stony Brook's Grace Weigele finished ahead of Fordham's
Katarina Birimac by just over a second. Weigele ran a winning time of 20:24.2 compared to Birimac's time of 20:25.6 for second place.
Sophia Oliva was the next Ram across the finish line in 30
th at 22:41.4, followed by
Lauren Raimy in 33
rd (22:45.5) and
Kate Meeks in 46
th (23:04.09). The rest of the Fordham runners included

On the men's side, Fordham grabbed third in the team standings out of 13 teams with a score of 78 points. Only Stony Brook (24) and Siena (63) placed ahead of the Rams.
The course saw three Fordham runners in the top 11, starting with
Nathan Bezuneh in fifth place at 25:11.7.
Sean Reidy was ninth in 25:31.0 with
John Corrigan in 11
th at 25:35.6. The pack running stayed strong with three more Rams in the top 30 overall.
Bradford Duchesne was 26
th at 25:56.7, while
Jack Boerger was 27
th (25:59.4) and
Darren Croke in 30
th (26:04.4).
The rest of the competitors on Saturday included
