LOUISVILLE, KY. - Continuing to excel on the field and in the classroom, Fordham University Softball saw 13 players named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes.
Bella Ayala, Holly Beeman, Michaela Carter, Allie Clark, Eva Koratsis, Devon Miller, Julia Petrovich Gianna Sarlo, Nicki Sudall, Annie Sullivan, Mikayla Swan, Emilee Watkins, and Sydney Wells were all honored, having finished the 2023-24 school year with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. Fordham's 13 selections was the second-most of any Atlantic 10 team this season, just one behind Saint Louis.
"We are so proud of our team's overall continued academic success and congratulations to our 13 student-athletes for achieving a 3.5 GPA or higher last year," said Head Coach Melissa Inouye. "For the amount of traveling that we do in the spring on top of having to take final exams during postseason play, it's very impressive that our student-athletes continue to be so successful in the classroom."
The dominating tally ties the most Scholar-Athletes the Rams have seen named to the annual list from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association under Inouye's tenure, after also garnering 13 selections in 2021. Last season, the Rams would post a 3.539 GPA as a team, tied for the fifth best mark of any team in the A-10, and 75th best out of all 296 Division I softball teams in the nation.
Since taking the reins as Head Coach of the Rams, Inouye has now seen her players bring 53 NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes back to Rose Hill.
