Bronx, N.Y. – (June 4, 2024) – Five Fordham baseball players were among those that received College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors on Tuesday afternoon.
The 2024 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. Student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher to qualify.
Senior
Ryan Thiesse was among those Fordham players honored for the second straight year, while juniors
Gannon Brady and
Andres Perez and sophomores
Tommy McAndrews and
Daniel Bucciero garnered the honor for the first time.
Here is a breakdown of each individual:
Ryan Thiesse – Sr. – Outfielder
Major: Finance
- Two-time CSC Academic All-District selection (2023 & 2024)
- Three-year member of the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll
- Started all 52 games as the Rams' centerfielder
- Team captain
- Hit .317 with 64 hits, 38 runs, 11 doubles, 14 RBI, and 12 stolen bases
- Set career-highs in batting average, hits, and doubles

Gannon Brady – Jr. – Relief Pitcher
Major: Finance
- CSC Academic All-District selection (2024)
- Atlantic 10 Academic All-Conference pick (2024)
- Two-year member of the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll
- Made 22 appearances, earning two wins to go with 18 strikeouts in 25.2 innings of work
- Had nine relief appearances in Atlantic 10 play, recording a 1.78 ERA and .211 opponent batting average.

Andres Perez – Jr. – Pitcher
Major: Communications & Culture
- CSC Academic All-District selection (2024)
- Made the team as a walk-on, after playing for the club baseball team the last two years
- Slotted as both a relief and starting pitcher
- Appeared in 20 games, recording 29 strikeouts in 37.1 innings
- Made nine starts with most as the Sunday starter in Atlantic 10 play

Daniel Bucciero – Soph. – Third Base
Major: Business Administration
- CSC Academic All-District selection (2024)
- Second Team All-Atlantic 10 pick (2024)
- Member of the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll
- Started all 52 games for the Rams at third base
- Batted .310 for the season, setting career-highs in doubles (15), home runs (9), RBI (36), and stolen bases (17)
- Led the Rams with 19 multi-hit games and 11 multi-RBI contests
- Was a dominant force in Atlantic 10 play, hitting .374 with 23 runs scored, seven doubles, nine home runs, 26 RBI, and 10 stolen bases.
