PENNSAUKEN, N.J. – The Fordham rowing team captured its third straight top-five finish at the Atlantic 10 Championships on Saturday afternoon, claiming fourth place at the league's championship event on the Cooper River.
Three Rams earned all-conference honors, as Brooke Gould was named to the All-Atlantic 10 First Team while Maja Gunz and Elli Lewis earned spots on the All-Atlantic 10 Second Team.
All five Fordham boats appeared in grand finals, highlighted by a pair of fourth-place finishes.
The Varsity 4+ (3rd, 8:17.77), Second Varsity 8+ (2nd, 7:13.35) and Varsity 8+ (3rd, 7:03.31) all advanced out of the morning's prelims with top three finishes in their respective heats.
The first grand final of the day was the Second Varsity 4+, which saw the Rams capture fourth in a time of 8:57.27.
Next up was the Third Varsity 8+, which finished fifth with a time of 7:55.49.
The Varsity 4+ also came in fifth after completing its grand final in 8:09.95
The Second Varsity 8+ crossed the finish line in 7:14.69, good enough for fifth.
The final race of the championship was the Varsity 8+, which saw the Rams finish fourth in a time of 7:01.83.
