CHERRY HILL, N.J.  – The Fordham rowing team finished strong on Saturday at the final day of the Dad Vail Regatta, as three Fordham boats earned silver medals for their efforts on the Cooper River.
All three of the eight-person shells return to the Bronx with silver medals. After finishing second in its semifinal race earlier in the day with a time of 7:08.63, the Rams' Varsity 8 shell finished the Grand Final in 6:57.32, just three seconds behind Drexel in first. The Second Varsity 8 placed second in its Grand Final, completing the course in 7:12.94, seven seconds behind Georgetown. The Third Varsity 8 clocked in at 8:01.52 to claim its silver medal.
The Varsity 4 also competed in a Saturday Grand Final, finishing sixth in a time of 8:29.67.
Fordham also recorded sixth place showings in the Novice 4 Second Final (9:19.09) and the 2V4 Petit Final (9:02.57).
