Bronx, N.Y. – (April 25, 2024) – The Fordham track & field team completes the final portion of their three-meet road trip around the Ivy League, as the Rams take part in the 128
th edition of Penn Relays, hosted at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
Fordham has been a regular attendant at the Penn Relays, earning multiple titles and seeing individuals and relays recognized on the Penn Relays Wall of Fame.
The Rams have been recognized twice on the Wall of Fame with the 2010 induction of Joe McCluskey and the 2013 induction of the 1963 relay team of Matt Cucchiara, Norb Sander, Joe McGovern, and Tom Kenney.
For titles, Fordham holds seven Championship of America crowns between the men's 4x800 relay (1947, 1953, 1954, 1963, and 1967), the men's 4 x mile relay (1963), and the men's sprint medley relay (1952).
More recent accolades for Fordham include the 2019 women's distance medley relay of Laurel Fisher, Sarinnagh Budris, Aidan Moroz, and Katarzyna Krzyzanowski winning the college division in a school record time of 11:34.28, while last year, the men's 4x100 relay of
Liam Volz,
Kenneth Maxwell,
Matthew Nurse, and
Christian Weddington finished fourth in the Eastern final in a school record time of 41.44 seconds.
