Fairfax, Va. – (May 18, 2025) – The Fordham track & field team wrapped up competition at the 2025 ECAC/IC4A Championship, hosted at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia on Sunday.
Fordham tied for 21
st on the men's side with nine points, while the women tied for 25
th with three points
The opening event for Fordham was the 200-meter dash, where
Kylie Ritz was 31
st overall in 25.80 seconds. On the men's side,
Sam Freeman had the top time at 21.94 seconds for 19
th place, followed by
Nelson Lindsay at 21.95 (20
th),
Dakota Strain at 22.06 (24
th), and
Matthew Nurse at 22.09 (25
th).
Next was the women's 4x800 relay, where the Rams' team of
Megan McCann,
Brenna Sears,
Lauren Raimy, and Ritz placed ninth in 9:30.50.
The final event was the men's 4x400 relay, where Lindsay, Nurse, Strain, and Freeman returned to the track to score fourth overall in 3:17.31.
Fordham has one more competitor this season, as
Katarina Birimac will take part in the 10,000-meter run at the NCAA East First Round, which will be held at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. The 10,000-meter run is slated for Thursday, May 29
th, at just past 9:00 PM with coverage on ESPN+.
