Box Score Providence, R.I. – The Fordham women's tennis team took a trip up north to take on Brown University on Saturday, falling to the Bears, 5-2.
 
Fordham opened play by dropping the doubles point, losing all three doubles matches.
 
The Rams picked up points at third and fourth doubles with wins by Anlin Xie (third) and Xintong Zhou (fourth). Xie defeated Gabby Soliman, 6-3, 7-5, while Zhou defeated Dani Ben-Abraham, 6-2, 6-4.
 
The Rams almost scored points at second and fifth singles both matches went to a third set. Xiaowei Hu dropped the first set at second singles to Ali Benedetto, 6-4, but win the second, 7-5, before falling in the third, 6-4. Eleni Fasoula fell in the first set at fifth singles to Addison Ahlstrom, 6-3, but took the second, 6-4, before falling in the tiebreaker, 10-7.
