Boston, Mass. – (March 2 2024) – The opening day of competition at the 2024 ECAC/IC4A Indoor Track & Field Championship has come to a close at the BU Track & Tennis Center in Boston.
 
Though the Rams did not score on day one, the team did qualify for four Sunday finals.
 
Kyla Hill began the day by qualifying for the finals in the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes.  Hill posted a time of 7.65 seconds in both the prelimaries and semifinals of the 60-meter dash to reach Sunday's final, while clocking in 24.87 seconds to qualify for the 200-meter final.
 
Other women competing on Saturday included 
Kylie Ritz in the 60-meter hurdles, who finished 11
th in 9.08 seconds, and 
Meredith Gotzmanin the mile run, who finished 17
th in 5:02.16.
 
For the men, 
Colin Flood and 
Rodolfo Sanchez both qualified for the final of the mile run.  Flood won his preliminary heat to qualify third at 4:08.62, while Sanchez qualified ninth in 4:07.36.  
Sean Reidy also ran in the mile, placing 23
rd overall in 4:14.71.
 
The 500-meter run saw 
Yariv Simhony make the final, as he qualified seventh at 1:05.71.
 
Nathan Bezuneh was the last competitor for the Rams, finishing 11
th in the 1,000-meter run in 2:27.72.
 
Fordham will take part in a total of seven finals on Sunday.  In addition to the women's 60 and 200 meters, the Rams will be in the 4x400 relay, while the men's will be in the 500 and 3,000 meters, the mile run, the distance medley relay, and the 4x400 relay.
