Philadelphia, Pa. – (February 16, 2024) – The Fordham squash team has hit the championship portion of its schedule, as the Rams head to Philadelphia for the 2024 CSA Team Championships, which will be held at the Arlen Specter U.S. Squash Center.
Fordham is among six teams vying for the Conroy Cup, as the teams are divided into two groups of round robin play on Saturday to determine seeding for Sunday matches. Group A consists of Fordham, Wesleyan, and Vassar, while Group B features Bard, Connecticut College, and Haverford.
Fordham will face Vassar at 9:00 AM on Saturday, followed by a 6:30 PM match with Wesleyan. The Rams hope to avenge a season opening loss to Vassar (8-1 on October 28
th) and a loss to Wesleyan (9-0) last year.
The Rams (18-7) enter the championship having won seven of their last eight matches, and searching for their fifth 20-win season in the last seven campaigns. Fordham is also looking for its first team championship since winning the Chaffee Cup in back-to-back seasons in 2018-19 and 2019-20.

Peter Vorbach leads the Rams' squad with 17 wins, followed by Robert Cruishank (15),
Gray Kearns (14),
Crispin McCarthy (13),
Nicholas Choo (12),
Jack Stanley (12),
Henry Frawley (12), and
Sofia Arseniev (11).
Nicholas Gilman (8 wins) and
Bennett Van Liew (4) round out the line-up for this weekend.
