Cross Country Back on the Trail at Paul Short Run

Men’s Race Set for 11:00 AM on Saturday, Followed by the Women at 11:45 AM

Bronx, N.Y. – (October 4, 2024) – The Fordham cross country team is back in competition on Saturday, as the Rams head to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for the annual Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University.
 
The meet will consist of a five-mile (8K) race for the men with a 6K race for the women Live results for the meet can be found on LeoneTiming.com.  Fordham is slated to compete in the Gold Division races, which start at 11:00 AM for the men and 11:45 for the women.  A total of 44 men's teams are slated to compete along with 43 women's teams.
 
Last season, the Rams were 29th in the men's team competition, while the women were 43rd.
 
Fordham has had some memorable runs at the Paul Short Run.  The 2017 edition had Fordham finish 28th out of 40 teams in the men's competition and 31st out of 42 teams for the women.  It was also notable for Fordham runner Thomas Slattery, who set the then-school record for a five-mile race at 24:08.
 
This will be the final tune-up race for the championship part of Fordham's schedule with the Metropolitan Championship (Oct. 12), the ECAC/IC4A Championship (Oct. 18), and the Atlantic 10 Championship (Nov. 2).
