PHILADELPHIA – The Fordham rowing team took part at the Head of the Schuykill on Saturday in Philadelphia, Pa., highlighted by a top-10 finish for the Varsity 4+ at one of college rowing's most prestigious regattas.

The first race of the day featured the Novice 4+, which finished fifth in a 13-team field, crossing the line in 15:51.08.

The Varsity 4+ came in ninth in a field of 76 boats, completing the course in 14:29.24.  The Second Varsity 4+ placed 18^th with a time of 14:49.77 while the Third Varsity 4+ finished 41^st in 15:38.42.  The Rams Fourth Varsity 4+ boat crossed the line in 16:18.73 to finish in 59^th.

The afternoon began with the Novice 8+ recording a time of 16:42.15 to finish 16^th in the 23-team field.

In the Club Championship Eights, Fordham's Fourth Varsity 4+ crossed the line in 13:44.91, good enough for 18^th out of 48.  The Second Varsity 8+ finished 29^th in 14:11.34 while the Third Varsity 8+ placed 46^th in 15:11.64.

In the Collegiate Doubles, the Fordham duo of Lucy Cunningham and Alyssa Neducsin finished third in a time of 17:29.67.

The Rams' last race of the day came in the Championship Eights, as the Rams V8+ shell finished 17^th out of 22 in a time of 13:37.05.
