BRONX, N.Y. -Â The Fordham University Rams continue the 2023 season, Fordham's 123rd varsity season, and open Patriot League play by traveling to Washington, D.C., to face the Georgetown University Hoyas on Cooper Field on Saturday, September 30, at 2:00 p.m.

Join the Ramses Challenge, a new philanthropic initiative supporting our student-athletes. Pledge a set amount for each offensive touchdown or defensive tackle for loss. All proceeds are tax-deductible and go directly to the football program. There is also an option to make a one-time gift to football.

The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Jeremy Huber (p-b-p) and Lynnell Willingham (color) announcing and broadcast live on WFUV (90.7 FM) and wfuvsports.org with Lou Orlando (p-b-p) and Brian Rabacs (color) handling the announcing chores.

Fordham, ranked 15
th in the latest NCAA FCS Coaches Poll, enters with a 3-1 record and is coming off a 44-0 win over Stonehill College at Moglia Stadium last Saturday, while Georgetown is 2-2 on the year after a 30-0 loss at Columbia last week.

This will be the 69th meeting between Fordham and Georgetown on the gridiron with the Rams leading the all-time series, which started in 1889, 42-23-3. Fordham won last year's matchup, 59-38, on Jack Coffey Field as
Tim DeMorat completed 21 of 35 passes for 348 yards and four touchdowns while
Trey Sneed (120 yards and two touchdowns) and
Julius Loughridge (104 yards and one score) each rushed for more than 100 yards.

A few notes on the game:

• The Fordham Rams have thrown the most touchdown passes of any NCAA FCS school over the past two years.
Â
• The Rams threw a school-record 58 scoring strikes last year (56 of those from
Tim DeMorat who set a school and Patriot League record) and have 13 from quarterback
CJ Montes this year for a total of 71.

• Fordham sophomore quarterback
CJ Montes has thrown 13 touchdown passes in his first four games as the Ram starting quarterback, the most for any Fordham signal caller over his first three starts.

• The Rams have three wins over NCAA FBS programs, tied for the most for an NCAA FCS program over an FBS program since 2013.

• Over the past two years, the Rams are 10-2 at Moglia Stadium.

• The 44-0 win over Stonehill on September 23 was Fordham's first shutout since a 55-0 blanking of Lock Haven on August 30, 2012.

• It was the first shutout of a Division I opponent since a 17-0 win over Georgetown on November 15, 2008.

MJ Wright were named 2023 NCAA FCS Preseason All-Americans.

• Both were named Third Team Preseason All-America by Stats Perform and to the Phil Steele FCS Preseason All-America Team.

• Wright was also named Preseason All-American by The Bluebloods while Conway was placed on the HERO Sports Top 25 Returning Linebackers list.

• No New York area college football team has won more games since 2012 than Fordham, who has amassed 76 victories over that stretch. The closest collegiate competitors are Sacred Heart (65), Stony Brook (59), and Rutgers (48), while the NFL's Giants lead all NYC area professional teams with 72 wins over the past eleven years and the Jets have 62.
