EASTON, Pa. – The Fordham golf squad jumped one spot during Monday's final round to finish in 11
th place out of 18 teams at the ABARTA Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational hosted by Lafayette at Northampton Country Club.
As a team, the Rams tallied a cumulative final round score of just eight over in Monday's second and final round.
Lehigh claimed the team title with a score of 270 (-6). Fairfield's Killian McGinley earned medalist honors, following an opening-round 66 with a Monday 70 to finish four shots clear of the field.
P.J. O'Rourke led the way for Fordham, birdieing his final hole of the day to card a two-over 74 to finish in a tie for 15
th.
Sitting in a tie for 65
th after a Sunday 77,
Jake Mrva recorded the Rams' low round on Monday, firing off a three-under 69 to move up 40 spots into a share of 25
th. The sophomore registered four birdies in his opening nine holes and eagled the par-four 12
th on his way to a career-low round.
Following a Sunday 71,
Andreas Aivazoglou turned in a five-over 77 to grab a share of 40
th place on the individual leaderboard.
Sitting at one under through 14 holes,
Nicholas Manning played his last four holes in five-over par to finish in a tie for 86
th (+13). Competing as an individual,
Chris Konefal also tied for 86
th.
John Kryscio carded a final-round 81.
Fordham will return to action in 10 days' time at the Atlantic 10 Championship in Kissimmee, Fla., at Reunion Resort.
