Easton, Pa. - Staying in the fight all tournament long, sophomore Liam Howard finished second in the 98-player field Monday to lead Fordham University Golf to a sixth place team finish at the ABARTA Coca-Cola Collegiate.
Coming off a four under, 68 on Sunday, Howard had another impressive day at just one over par to finish three under, but came up just short of Drexel's John Stevenson who claimed the individual title at -4 for the tournament after a three-under in the final round.Â
For Howard it's the sixth time in eight tournaments this season he's finished 15th or better, with his three under the best overall score of his career after his best individual round yesterday.
Shooting up the leaderboard on day two with a one under, 71, AJ DePaolo finished second for the Rams in a tie for 24th place, alongside Luke Brower, who was just five over after 36 holes to take a share of 24th as well.
From there Kieran Cummins was three shots further back at eight over for the tournament in a share of 42nd alongside Tucker Silva, who was competing as an individual, while Patrick Ginnity rounded out the scoring for Fordham in a tie for 89th place.
The Rams close the regular season with one final tournament before the A-10 Championship, as they head to the Roar-EE Invitational, hosted by Columbia on Apr. 18 from the Wiltwyck Golf Club in Kingston, N.Y.
