Newport News, Va. – (April 12, 2023) – The Atlantic 10 Conference released the 2022 Men's & Women's Indoor Track & Field All-Academic and All-Rookie teams on Wednesday afternoon. Among the honorees was Fordham's
Steven Zucca, who was selected to the All-Academic team, which is selected by the conference's track & field communication directors.
A Mathematics/Computer Science major, Zucca holds a 3.93 GPA as a junior and is a two-year member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. Earlier this year, he was selected to the conference's Academic All-Conference team for cross country.
During the indoor season, Zucca scored in both distance events at the 2023 Atlantic 10 Championship, finishing fifth in the 5,000 meters (14:23.88) and eighth in the 3,000 meters (8:20.31). Additionally he was a part of the Metropolitan champion distance medley relay, while finishing second in the mile run (4:14.18). Zucca ended the year setting personal-best times in all three individual events.
