Last Time Out
The Rams went 1-3 at the Garnet & Gold Tournament at Winthrop two weeks ago, defeating North Carolina Central, 8-0, in six innings, and falling twice in tough one-run games, one in nine innings to the hosts. Bailey Enoch earned her second career shutout against the Eagles, striking out three and allowing just five baserunners, while Emilee Watkins posted new career-highs of 8.2 innings and nine strikeouts in the tough loss to Winthrop. Holly Beeman was saddled with two losses but led the staff with 11.2 innings, limiting opposing batters to four runs, three earned, with four strikeouts. At the plate, freshman Eva Koratsis notched the first three hits of her career, smacking a home run and legging out a triple among them, to pace the offense. Enoch also blasted a pair of home runs, as well, while Michaela Carter led the offense with three runs, three hits, two walks, and a pair of stolen bases.

Beeman Named Pitcher of the Week Again
The freshman hurler continued her stellar start to the season by nabbing her second straight Pitcher of the Week honor from the Atlantic 10. She became the first Ram, and first freshman, to earn the season's first two accolades since Lauren Quense in 2017 and just the third all-time. Beeman outdid her opening weekend, when she pitched once but nearly threw a no-hitter, with a three-hit shutout over Saint Francis to give her team its second win of the year, allowing just three singles with no walks and three strikeouts, and appearing in relief twice with a combined two runs allowed, one earned, over 4.2 innings. She finished with a 0.60 ERA over a team-high 11.2 frames.

Some Early Standouts
Mary Grace O'Neill's .412 average leads the offense, the sophomore going 7-for-17 over her opening 12 games, with two stolen bases. Julia Petrovich leads the squad in slugging, at .462, with three doubles and a dinger, while Julia Martine's 10 hits paces the offense. Her five runs and two round-trippers are tied with Bailey Enoch. In the circle, it's two-time A-10 Pitcher of the Week Beeman with a 0.92 ERA over her first 30.1 college innings to lead the staff.

A-10 Preseason Coaches Poll
The Rams have been predicted to successfully defend their title and garnered six first-place votes in the league's annual poll of head coaches. Read more here.

2023 Schedule Reveal
The Rams will play in 51 regular season contests, including four preseason tournaments and 15 home games, and will host the 2023 Atlantic 10 Championship. Read more here.

New Faces
Head coach Melissa Inouye welcomed five freshman to the Bronx in the Fall: pitcher Holly Beeman, infielder Eva Koratsis, infielder Kate McGuire, outfielder Neleh Nogay, and catcher Nicki Sudall. Inouye also welcomed new assistant coach Nikki Cuccio to the program.

Milestone Watch
With Hubertus and Pinto graduating, the lone Ram currently in the program record book is senior pitcher Devon Miller, who finds herself seventh in strikeouts, joint-sixth in shutouts, joint ninth in wins, and close to the top-10 in nearly every other category. Fifth-years Julia Martine and Sarah Taffet have enjoyed four full seasons outside of the COVID-shortened campaign, and will likely push to enter several top-10s of their own.

Next
It's already time for Atlantic 10 action! Fordham kicks conference season off with a three-game series at Dayton next weekend, a doubleheader starting at noon on Saturday the 18th and an 11 a.m. finale on Sunday.
