Boston, Mass. – (March 5, 2023) – The Fordham track & field team finished its indoor season in fine fashion on Sunday at the 2023 ECAC/IC4A Championship, held at the BU Track & Tennis Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
The day of Sunday finals began with
Kyla Hill in the 60-meter dash, as she once again broke the school record, placing fourth in 7.56 seconds. Later in the day, she also scored seventh in the 200-meter dash, setting a new school record in 24.05 seconds.
Fordham's next finalist was
Zalen Nelson in the 1,000-meter run, who took silver in a time of 2:24.45, just shy of his record time from Saturday.
The Rams' remaining finalists were in the 4x400 and 4x800 relays. On the men's side, the 4x800 relay team of
Ben Borchers,
Justin Lombardi,
Darren Croke, and
Steven Zucca scored seventh overall in a season-best time of 7:41.56, while the 4x400 team of
Kevin Callaghan,
Erik Brown,
Yariv Simhony, and
Matthew Nurse also scored seventh in a season-best time of 3:17.01.
Then in the women's relays, the 4x800 relay team earned a bronze medal, as
Helen Connolly,
Mary Kathryn Underwood,
Taylor Mascetta, and
Marin Bogulski were third in a season-best time of 9:04.72. Finally, the 4x400 relay team of
Dillyn Green,
Alexandra Williams, Hill, and
Molly Mulvaney placed sixth in a season-best time of 3:48.17.
The Rams now turn their attention to the outdoor season, which begins on March 18
th at Stony Brook.
