Jake Petrarca Named Assistant Football Coach at Fordham

Former UConn coach to lead Rams’ wide receivers

Bronx, N.Y. - Jake Petrarca, former Quality Control coach at the University of Connecticut, was named an assistant football coach at Fordham University it was announced today by head coach Joe Conlin. Petrarca will be responsible for the Ram wide receivers in 2023
 
Petrarca arrived at Rose Hill after two years at UConn, serving as an advance opponent scout, designing scouting reports and personnel breakdowns for all opponents and helping to design offensive game plans. He also worked with quarterbacks, wide receivers, tight ends, and running backs both in and out of season.
 
Prior to UConn, Petrarca worked at Stonehill College from 2016-2018. He started as a wide receivers coach in 2016 and then instructed the quarterbacks from 2017 up through the 2018 season. Along with his responsibilities with the quarterbacks, he was the recruiting coordinator during the same time period.
 
Petrarca went to Stonehill after working at Anna Maria College from 2014-2016. While there, he coached the wide receivers (2014-2015) and quarterbacks (2016). Petrarca also served as the team's video coordinator from 2015-2016. 
 
Petrarca started his coaching career as an assistant football coach at West Warwick High School in 2013 and helped lead team to 2013 RIIL Division II State Championship.
 
A 2012 graduate of Salve Regina University Petrarca was a four-year letter winner for the Seahawks, playing for current Holy Cross head coach Bob Chesney.
