Newport News, Va. – (February 7, 2023) - The Atlantic 10 Conference released its swimming & diving weekly awards on Tuesday with Fordham's
Christian Taylor (Sydney, Australia) being named Men's Rookie of the Week for the third time this season.
Taylor scored four first-place finishes during the Rams' tri-meet sweep against Wagner and St. Francis, including the 100 backstroke (49.69) and the 100 butterfly (50.93). He was then a part of the winning 200 freestyle (1:23.13) and 200 medley (1:30.73) relays.
With the team wins over Wagner and St. Francis Brooklyn, the Rams finished their dual meet season with an 8-1 record, the team's best mark since the 1990s.
Taylor and the rest of the Rams now set their sights on the 2023 Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving Championship, which will be held February 15-18 at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
