Middletown, Conn. – (February 25, 2023) – It was day two of the CSA Team Championship on Saturday, where the Fordham squash team took on Haverford in the consolation bracket of the Conroy Cup.
Unfortunately for the Rams, Haverford won the match by a 9-0 count, putting Fordham in the seventh place match on Sunday morning.
Haverford won eight of the nine matches in three games though some had very tight scores. Fordham's
Nicholas Gilman fell to Noah Tunis of Haverford, 11-9, 11-6, 11-8, at first position, while
Bennett Van Liew dropped his third slot match to Peter Lehv, 11-6, 11-7, 11-7.
The lone match to go four came at the fourth slot, where Kai Schinaman defeated Fordham's
Jack Stanley, 6-11, 13-11, 11-9, and 11-9.
Fordham's final match of the team championship is slated for Sunday at 8:30 AM against Denison.
